Poly injected woofer cones with rubber surrounds and 1" voice coils belt out the lows, while the 1" Mylar dome tweeters fill out the sweet high end. The Mr650 also features an outboard crossover which is contoured on its inner surface to mount snugly and securely to the rear housing. An outboard crossover really ups the sound quality by ensuring that the tweeter and woofer are only handling the frequencies they are designed to play. The result – less distortion and cleaner sound.
