What a brilliant pedal this had been for me. Bought this new in 2016 and has been kept on my pedal board for its whole life, never failing to disappoint. The ES2 Echo Shifter is a powerful Digital Echo with Analogue character crafted by Ibanez. Simulating a tube Echo with usually short and disintegrating repeats, the warm character of this pedal is something to behold, suitable for live, recording or even studio outboard functions. The key asset of this pedal is the increasingly powerful modulations. The pedal had one switch to the right of the unit which activated a modulation effect where the delay time is altered (depending of the depth knob) via speed creating a huge soundscape. Adding to that feature the oscillation switch on the left hand side is incredibly usable and interesting - forcing the pedal instantly into an oscillation loop. The delay time control is also on a slider which allows for crazy noises and also fine tuning. Pedal also has a tap tempo.
