Well here s a collectible Zildjian! This 18 is from the first few years of production. It s 18 years old and the edges are RAZOR THIN making it very crashable and responsive - especially from the early years. And an 18-year-aged K Constantinople is a damn nice cymbal! This beauty has mellowed exquisitely and it s one of the finest you will hear. Take a listen No need to get a new one and then wait 20 years for it to open up. This 18 is very COMPLEX for the series - it plays like a Paper Thin by early standards and it opens very quickly. As you can see the bell, hammering, profile and lathing is much different than the modern ones. And this gives it a very different tone than the modern Zildjians. Weighs in at a wonderfully thin 1289 grams. Bendable edges. The metal has aged and settled in beautifully. It s very DARK sounding and lower pitched but has a broad spread with high present tone cut nicely. Sounds vintage because it s halfway there.
